Model Center Overview

The Freedom Model Center is the Advisor Platform’s centralized source to learn about and access the available portfolio models.

Models

A Model is a single sleeve portfolio comprised of individual securities, exchange traded funds, or mutual funds, or a combination, with target allocation weights that seek to achieve an investment goal established by the model manager.

When viewing a Model in the Model Center, an advisor can learn about its asset allocation holdings, target weights, investment characteristics, investment minimum, benchmark, historical performance, summary statistics, and access additional collateral such as factsheets.

All Models listed in the Model Center are available in the Investment Plan proposal tool or as investment options in the Service Center.

UMA Models

A UMA Model is a blend of Models (also referred to as “sleeves”) where each sleeve has a target allocation. Similar to Models, a UMA Model can have an established a periodic rebalance frequency based on the calendar (monthly, quarterly, or annually) or at the manager’s discretion. UMA Models can be managed in two different ways:

  • At the sleeve level (“sleeve rebalance”), where only securities in that sleeve are traded to their target allocation.
  • At the UMA Model level (“full rebalance”), where both the underlying sleeves and UMA Model allocations are rebalanced to their target allocation.

When viewing a UMA Model in the Model Center, an advisor can learn about its asset allocation, holdings, target weights, investment characteristics, investment minimum, benchmark, risk score suitability, historical performance (if applicable), summary statistics, and access collateral such as factsheets.

All UMA Models listed in the Model Center are available in the Investment Plan proposal tool or as investment options in the Service Center.
